VECTOR CONTROL INDUSTRIAL FOGGERS
For vector disease control, where the stakes involve not just comfort but also health, vector control industrial foggers emerge as frontline warriors. These potent tools, which are part of our commercial vector control equipment lineup, are designed with precision to address the most challenging aspects of fogging vector control. These tools offer reliable solutions in the fight against vector-borne illnesses.
The control of vectors, diseases and nuisance insects such as black flies, mosquitoes, sand flies and houseflies is a significant element of any public health program. A wide variety of equipment is available that is suitable for adulticiding (controlling the flying adults) conditions. Generally, thermal fogging is the preferred type of equipment when it is desirable to see the fog in the coverage area or when it is necessary to penetrate dense vegetation.
The Dyna-Fog® Golden Eagle™ is a portable thermal fogger that can be utilized to efficiently treat small open areas, and is particularly effective at penetrating dense vegetation. The Dyna-Fog® Golden Eagle™ has an adjustable output of 0 to 9 gallons per hour. The Dyna-Fog® Blackhawk™ is a larger thermal fogger which can be connected to a 30- or 55-gallon drum and mounted in a truck or utility vehicle for treating medium-sized regions, with an output of 0 to 18 gallons per hour.
The Dyna-Fog® 1200™ and Dyna-Fog® Silvercloud™ are large truck-mounted thermal fogging machines, appropriate for treating large areas. These units should not be used in heavy traffic conditions. The outputs are 0 to 40 gallons per hour for the Dyna-Fog® Silvercloud™ and 15 to 120 gallons per hour for the Dyna-Fog® 1200™.
The Dyna-Fog® Twister XL™ is a portable, knapsack-sized aerosol generator providing ULV penetration for small-scale projects and areas. Dyna-Fog® ATV-1 Cold Fogger is designed for mounting on an ATV, golf cart, or small trailer where a larger unit is not practical. The Dyna-Fog® Mini-Pro™ 8HP ULV is a small sprayer designed for use by factory complexes, small towns, campgrounds and golf courses for effective control. The machine delivers sufficient quantities of most approved chemical formulations with a 300-foot wide swath at speeds of five to ten miles per hour.
The Dyna-Fog® Typhoon I™ ULV is designed for small- to medium-sized towns and cities. Complete remote operation from the vehicle cab ensures operator safety. New single nozzle design utilizes additional air assistance to achieve uniform droplet distribution over a 360-degree area, with a wide swath at speeds up to 20 miles per hour, depending on the pumping system utilized. The Dyna-Fog® Typhoon II™ ULV is used in medium-sized towns and cities, featuring dual adjustable nozzles with a remote spray/flush. The spray covers a 300-foot wide swath at speeds of between five to twenty miles per hour. An attachment for controlling pests and insects in sewers is also available.
The Dyna-Fog® Maxi-Pro 4™ ULV is a large capacity applicator perfectly suited for use in larger municipalities or cities; this unit features complete control from the vehicle cab. In addition, the spray of the Dyna-Fog® Maxi-Pro 4™ covers a 300-foot-wide swath and along with the utilization of 4 nozzles, delivers uniform dispersal of droplets assured at speeds of five to twenty miles per hour. An attachment for controlling mosquitoes in sewers is also available. The Dyna-Jet® L30 is the latest addition to Dyna-Fog's vector control family of products. It is the highest capacity and quietest electric ULV machine in the world, utilizing state-of-the-art control and brushless motor technology.
Dyna-Fog® ULV Pumping Systems:
Diaphragm pump – 12 volt DC diaphragm pump, chemically-resistant construction. 0 to128 oz/min (0-3785 ml/min) flow rate. High flow capability makes this pump perfect for applying barrier sprays, adulticides, and larvacides. Available on: Maxi-Pro 1800, Maxi-Pro 2D, Typhoon II, Typhoon I, Mini-Pro 8HP.
FMI Piston Pump -12 volt DC piston pump with ceramic piston, precision drive motor, carbon cylinder liner, stainless steel housing with Viton® and Teflon® seals. Zero to 16 oz/min (0 to 473 ml/min) output (1/4 inch piston), and 0 to 20 oz/min (0 to 591 ml/min) with optional 3/8 inch piston. The FMI pump is available on Maxi-Pro 1800, Typhoon I, Typhoon II, Maxi-Pro 145, Maxi-Pro 4, Dyna-Jet® L30, and Mini-Pro 8HP models.
Gear Pump - Variable speed, motor driven, magnetically coupled gear pump. Stainless steel body with carbon-filled gears. No chemical contact with seals. Zero to 18 oz/min (0 to 532 ml/min) output. Syncroflow feature enables automatic output proportional to vehicle speed along with realtime digital display of the speed of the vehicle. Available on Maxi-Pro 4, Typhoon I, Maxi-Pro 145 and Maxi-Pro 1800. A remote choke is standard equipment on all gear pumping systems.
Dyna-Fog® Radar Syncroflow - This option is available on many Dyna-Fog® vehicle mounted machines. Output is proportioned to vehicle speed, ensuring evenness of chemical distribution. Automatic cut-off above twenty miles per hour and below four miles per hour, ensuring that chemical is applied only at the optimal speed. This feature minimizes the environmental impact of the treatment by preventing over spraying. There are no wiring connections needed to the vehicle.
ADDITIONAL SPECIAL FEATURES OF THE TRUCK MOUNT ULV UNITS:
A spark arrestor is fitted to the engine exhaust for use in high-risk areas and sites. Machine covers are available for the units when the machines are stored outside. Lockable caps for the formulation tank are supplied with the MAXI-PRO™, MINI-PRO 8HP, DYNA-JET® L30, TYPHOON I, and TYPHOON II models. Automatic engine idle-back is also available, reducing noise as well as to conserve fuel when the machine is not actively spraying. Remote choke and automatic low-speed and high-speed spray cutoff are standard on all gear pumping systems. Refer to each model’s specifications and literature for the available features.
